Summary/Abstract: The main function of the intellectual elite as the leading social structure of every nation is to analyze and explain the problems that accompany the nation and the state in the course of common progress. And jubilees, like the 140th anniversary of the establishment of the Third Bulgarian State, are a serious reason for reassessment and drawing conclusions of strategical importance for the future. For, in our case, the unknowns that may befall us by the middle of the current century are way too many and rather perilous.
