Summary/Abstract: This study presents the identity of Ceaușescu’s Communist Regime and its Image in the West. Furthermore, the author argues that after the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe, the most repeated words by the former communist countries were not ‘European Union integration’, but ‘European Union reunification’. In this context, it is important to note that after the revolution, Romania faced numerous difficulties on its way to democracy.
