Summary/Abstract: Procurement of products susceptible to have psychoactive effectsis a product operation within the meaning of art. 2 (b) of Law no.194/2011 on fighting operations with products susceptible to havepsychoactive effects, other than those provided by the normativeacts in force, and falling under the provisions of art. 16 par. (1) of the same normative act (i.e., it is an offense) in the event that it is carried out in the context of an import, export or product brokering activity. The procurement of products susceptible to have psychoactive effects by the final consumer for their own consumption, carried out exclusively for this purpose, does not constitute an operation with products within the meaning of art. 2 (b) of Law no. 194/2011 and does not fall under the provisions of art. 16 par. (1) of the same normative act (i.e. it is not a crime).
