Summary/Abstract: Dialogue as an exchange of thoughts between two people assumes equality and respect of partner views. In the assumptions of the I-YOU dialogue, the views of Janusz Tarnowski, Józef Tischner, Jarosław Gary and Martin Buber were quoted. The specific dialogue takes place in the relationship of the educator-pupil. It requires mutual openness. The exemplification of human dialogue is the one that happens between theatrical figures. The subject of this text is to analyze the issue of openness to other people, to other ways of thinking, that is the problem of the conditions necessary for the creation of a creative dialogue (in its variations) on the theatrical stage.
