Summary/Abstract: The European Communication Monitor is the largest international research project focused on strategic communication. The main subjects of the 10th-anniversary edition of the study were, among others, issues related to social media, „big data” and the automation of the process of communication with stakeholders. More than 72% of respondents are convinced that „big data” will have a significant impact on their activities. At the same time, only 21% of them use this type of information in current business operations. A similar phenomenon is evident when evaluating the increasing level of the automation of communication with stakeholders, as well as adjusting the content of the information to the needs of today's consumers. Almost 75% of experts consider such activities to be necessary, but only 29% of them put them into practice.
