Summary/Abstract: The analysis of the discourse, in terms of its polyphonic aspect, over time has undergone various approaches, all of which have as a point of convergence the idea of dialogism and plurality of voices. This article seeks to identify some aspects of linguistic polyphony to highlight their pragmatic and discursive role in several of Sadoveanu's works. Consideration is given to ways of marking the presence of the speaker and the assignee in the discourse, the marks of the conative function, the presence of the phatic formulas, the interference of the quoted discourse with the quoted speech, the elements of metadiscursivity.
