Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on the students' perception of job quality in Serbia, Macedonia and Bulgaria. The starting assumption is that the students' job preferences are shaped by the socioeconomic conditions in these societies. On the other hand, we assume that the importance they attach to different job characteristics depends on their country of origin, sex, employment status and education level of their parents, and class affiliation.
