Summary/Abstract: Valuable trinity liberté, égalité, fraternité which French revolution affirmed, so which represent the base of European society, was in danger at the end of thirties of the 20. century in most of the countries of the Old Continent. The analysis of political stands against key internal and foreign events showed that Student Democratic Club and Youth section of Serbian Cultural Club represented organizations which defended previously mentioned liberaldemocratic principles at the Belgrade University. Promotion of nacionalism from members of Youth section of Student Cultural Club, represented key difference in ideological stands between these two organizations, which was expected having on mind stands of Serbian Cultural Club. Lack of chauvinism and anti-Semitism in articles published in Nova Srbadija witnesses that youth did not blindly followed the organization, so that enjoyed some level of independence in functioning. New political platform of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia ended the cooperation between members of Student Democratic Club and communists, but also showed on which level communists succeded to infiltrate among members of this organization. At the Belgrade University one side refered to revolution, making new order, so the other supported suppression of parlamentarism, class governancy system-promoting these ideas both sides used nondemocratic and violent methods. In this atmosphere, democratic oriented organizations represented voice of reason and alternative.
