Summary/Abstract: The publication addresses the origin, classifications and typological characteristics of the Zeuxippus Ware, its distribution in the Byzantine sphere of cultural and economic influence as well as the terminological issues regarding this type of Sgraffito ceramic. Special accent in this publication is the Sgraffito ceramic found in Bulgaria (Zlatna Livada village, Chirpan), classified by the authors as Zeuxippus Wareclass I A.
