Summary/Abstract: This text deals with the analysis of private military companies as an counterinsurgency actor in Afghanistan from the point of view of Erik Prince's proposal and application to the theory of David Kilcullen. The first part of the thesis deals with the theoretical and terminological definition of the basic concepts of this issue. A key part of the thesis is the subsequent analysis of the Prince's proposal and application to the theory of counterinsurgency. The conclusion of the work brings a general summary and recommendations based on the analysis.
