Summary/Abstract: The rehabilitation process implemented in educational work with juveniles placed in Youth Educational Centers is the subject of the author’s engagements. The author draws attention to the fact that the Polish rehabilitation process, compared to the other countries of Europe and the United States,is more modest in terms of measures for dealing with juveniles. In Poland the dominant measure applied are rehabilitation centers, operating 24 hours a day. The author emphasizes the lack of a comprehensive family support policy, including, among others, diversification of the educational and economical potential of the families. Referring to the analysis of official documents, the author indicates a lack of coherent concept for juvenile’s rehabilitation and, therefore, the author finds the need of inter–ministerial comprehensive activities aimed at developing complementary models of the minors rehabilitation process.
