The Comparison of the Praticol Community of Beetles (Coleoptera) at the Rural and the Urban Areas of City Trnava (SW Slovakia)

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research was determined and compared the quantitative-qualitative representation of the praticol beetle communities (Coleoptera) living in the selected meadow biotops, that were situated in the rural area and in the urban area of city Trnava. The coleopterological material was obtained by the method of sweeping grasslands during the growing season (april – october) in the year 2013. The results of the research were compared the indicator values of the beetle communities and their cenotic, bionomic characteristics and seasonal dynamics on the both locations. We were obtained approximately 351 exemplars (ex.) of beetles. They belong to 62 different species (sp.) from 14 different families. The differences in the abundance and diversity were reflected on the examined grassland habitats as follows: on the site A (rural area), we registered 217 beetle’s individuals, which belong to 18 species. On the site B (urban area), we caught 107 beetle’s individuals, which represent 23 species. The rare species were: Hispa atra, Donacia semicuprea, Chrysolina fastuosa and Trechus quadristruatus, which indicate the xeroterm aspect at the urban aerea in Trnava.
