Summary/Abstract: On the occasion of the two hundredth anniversary of János Arany’s birth, the teacher trainees majoring in Hungarian language at the University of Novi Sad in their practicing teaching classes had to deal with the task of making a lesson plan and teaching at least one class dedicated to János Arany in primary or secondary schools, either in the framework of the curriculum or independently. The lesson plans carried out in schools with different profiles were also included in the classroom observation journals, and a successful application made the publishing of the best works possible. The present paper focuses on the linguistic aspects of the received lesson plans, and their approaches to translation. It examines how and in what measure does the approach infiltrate a linguistic aspect into the teacher trainees’ literature class, what sort of databases they use, and how the students follow current events, such as discourses in the authorial dictionaries published on the pretext of János Arany-dictionary in the recent past.
