Summary/Abstract: The article presents conclusions obtained as a result of the analysis of media messages of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, the documents prepared by the structures connected to the Ukrainian government as well as the publications about the information policy of this country. In the text, there were also presented a number of initiatives of the Ukrainian government that are aimed at regaining control over the information space of Eastern Ukraine. In addition, the main goals and narratives present in the Ukrainian media have been described as a factor which serves to prepare the „base” for the future reintegration of the occupied parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions with the rest of the country.
