Summary/Abstract: This article attempts to synthesize family transformations in the postmodern era. It presents the changes in the definition of family and current family models, marriage statistics, changes in the procreation function of the family, and alternative forms of relations. The results of this research indicate that while postmodernism marks significant family changes, a nuclear family continues to be the dominant form of marriage and family relations.
