Summary/Abstract: The paper is a detailed analysis of the quantitative and structural organization of the communicative phraseological units (CPUs), or proverbs with the components «good» and «bad» in the English language; 5 structural types and 11 subtypes of CPUs can be distinguished in Modern English. The present investigation is of great importance, as a reliable statistical and formal basis for further research into one of the most essential oppositions, «good – bad», as reflected in the English proverbial worldview.
