Summary/Abstract: This study deals with the relationship between national (Italian) and European law and problems caused by European integration. The main issue is the fragile equilibrium between the limitation of sovereignty and the protection against the erosion of the European Union. The Italian example is used in order to show the general lines of this equilibrium, pointing out the important role played by the case law of the Constitutional Court in this field.
