Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with a part of the themes of the Aljamiado periodicals in Bosnia and Herzegovina - its sociopolitical discourse in the magazines: Tarik, Muallim, Misbah and Jeni Misbah. The period of publishing of Arebica press is, at the same time, the period of creation of political parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Even a superficial insight into the Arebica press corpus gives a surprising historical and thematic analogy of the most important sociopolitical themes that have been preoccupying the Bosnian public, primarily the Bosniak one, at the time immediately before the First World War and in our time. It discourages to know that even after more than a hundred years of dealing with the problems, which have been long resolved in Europe, in Bosnia and Herzegovina they have not been resolved even today or are being “solved” in a same or in a wrong way. Social topics that occupy the most space in the Arebica press, if we exclude the status of the mualims, are the discussions and stances of the editorial offices on: politics, nation, language, writing, politicians, conservatism in Bosniaks, national divisions, economic situation, etc.
