Summary/Abstract: This article is about the „tradition” in Romanian culture. There is an internal contradiction in the concept of "traditional product": it is something loaded with local symbols, whose meaning is lost at a distance (popular costume) or fragile products, not adapted to mass production . What, then, is a traditional family? In the interwar period, she is a 15-year-old pregnant woman with four classes who weaves, cooks, spits, digs under the eyes of the mother-in-law and in her house.
