Summary/Abstract: China’s Belt and Road Initiative is both an opportunity and challenge for Central Asian countries and the European Union. Its scope, proposed infrastructural investments and different connections and routes, additional initiatives and diplomacy suggest OBOR is in line with the global Chinese strategy.
