Summary/Abstract: The paper uses archeological material and written sources to analyze the earliest history of Christianity in the wider territory of present-day Sarajevo and its surrounding area. The historic period to be analyzed in this paper is the period from the 1st to 6th century AD. In its final part, the analysis will off er certain guidelines in terms of Christianization processes and the earliest church organization in this territory in order to raise new questions that will shed new lights on this problem in future research.
