Summary/Abstract: The main character of this study is Munir Šahinović Ekremov, unofficial diplomat of Pavelic, in an unsuccessful attempt to secure mutual recognition between the Independent State of Croatia and the Republic of Turkey. The study shows an amateur approach to this diplomatic experiment of the Quisling, Ustasha’s regime towards the neutral Turkish state. The reactions of the Turkish government and the Yugoslav embassy in Ankara were also presented in the study, as the new facts about Bosniak emigrants in the Turkish Republic. The names of the archives and their funds are given in the study as the author found them when he was last time in those institutions (between two and thirty years ago, counting back from 2018).
