Artifacts of the Karama Site (Gorny Altai): drawings, descriptions, interpretations (analysis of the publication of materials)

Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes archaeological materials of the Lower Paleolithic site of Karama (Gorny Altai, Siberia). The comparison of photographs and drawings of putative artifacts reveals a number of inconsistencies between the former and the latter, which results in questioning whether the objects under consideration belong to the number of intentionally made tools. In addition, a brief consideration is given to the age of the site.
