Summary/Abstract: In 1991—1992 an area of 112 square meters was excavated in the promontory part of Beregovaya II site, located on the territory of Gorbunovo peat bog. Finds include ceramic sherds, stone tools and waste products. Over 8000 lithic artefacts out of total 13800 were attributed to the Mesolithic on he basis of their morphology and raw material. These artefacts find analogies in the assemblages of the Middle Ural mesolithic culture, which was singled out by Yu. B. Serikov. The comparison of these artefacts with the Mesolithic finds coming from the peat bog part of Beregovaya II, excavated in 2008—2017, allowed to make some conclusions about the use of different areas of the site during the Mesolithic.
