Summary/Abstract: Vasile Alecsandri is one of the most important representatives of Romanian forty-eighter current. He marked his epoch as a scholar, poet, novelist and gatherer of folk tales by highlighting the homogeneity of the Romanian folklore. As poet he addresses the lyrical genre with great sensitivity, which is why he composed the most beautiful pastels. As a poet of contemplation, he "sings", through his lyrics, mysteries of the Oriental space, a space he approaches according to his inner feelings. The gathering of folk texts gives him the opportunity to value in his creations "old words" and "elders’ songs" that bear the load the autochtonal fabullosity. Conclusion: Although he doesn’t excel in identifying the elements of the fabulous, Vasile Alecsandri draws certain popular beliefs from Romanian folklore, beliefs that he filters through his poetic vision. Thus, in his lyrics one can identify fabulous characters, events and situates, all of which increase the value of his poetic creations and constitutes a source of inspiration for his followers. Although it excels in identifying the type elements fantastic Vasile Alecsandri taken from Romanian folklore certain popular beliefs that his vision poetic process.
