TRAIAN ȘTEF OR THE DISCOURSE OF TENDERNESS

Summary/Abstract: This study seeks to point out the main features of Traian Ștef’s poetry starting from his literary debut with Călătoria de ucenic (The Disciple’s Journey, 1993) to his most recent book, Poemul de dragoste (The Love Poem, 2014). In fact, the essay presents a critical diachronic approach upon the poetical switches made by the author during his literary activity. Placed halfway between the ideals of pathos and lucidity,Traian Ștef’s writing could be the subject for a certain harmony between these appearently antithetical engagements ruled by the poet. Therefore, the paper tries to emphasize on the aesthetical way to take a certain distance while writing poetry, hyphening the main causes and conjunctures.
