Summary/Abstract: The article gives an account of the events that took place in the town of Khlynov (Vyatka) in 1737-1752. The focus is on the activity of bishops in the development of education. The Slavic-Latin school, founded in 1734 by Bishop Lavrenty (Gorka), was further developed during this period.
