Summary/Abstract: In the first part of the article, the author defines teaching Polish as a foreign language (Polish glottodidactics) as a field of scientific research, identifies its subfields, among which she pays to special attention to Polish glottodidactic linguistics. She indicates the possible directions of its development, both in the area of theoretical deliberations and practical studies. The second part of the article discusses the contents of the current volume of this journal.
