Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with educational games that can be used in classrooms where English is taught as a foreign language (referred to in the text as EFL classrooms). First of all, methods of choosing the appropriate game for the classroom will be discussed. Then, the description of different types of EFL educational games will be given. The first type of games will be the icebreaker and warmer games. The following will be games that focus on one of the receptive or productive skills. This means that we will deal with games that focus on listening, reading, speaking and writing. After that, games that help improve vocabulary and explain grammar will be mentioned. Also, having in mind how computerized every aspect of life has become in the twenty-first century, one part of this paper will deal with using video games in education.
