Statistics of Słownik wileński. Entry terms

Summary/Abstract: The article is one of the publications prepared as part of the „Elektroniczna edycja Słownika Wileńskiego” [„Electronic edition of the Vilnius Dictionary”] project executed with the funds for research as a research project in the years The article presents the results of calculating entry terms within individual letters of the alphabet. The results are compared with the data on the content of other dictionaries of the Polish language. It is observed that Słownik wileński is one of the most abundant Polish lexicographic sources. The difficulties in comparing the data from various dictionaries of the Polish language are discussed. The alphabetic structure of Słownik wileński, which differs from the currently applied one, is presented.
