Summary/Abstract: In the history of Russian-Romanian cultural contacts, the period between the two wars stands out for the richness of names and events that indicate the penetration ofelements of foreign culture in the Romanian one and theircreative assimilation. The important role in this intercultural dialogue was played by emigrants from Russia afterthe 1917 revolution that formed, including in Romania, aphenomenon called ”Russians from abroad”. The article reveals some less studied topics of intercultural relations, eachof them asking, in the future, for a deeper special research. Many facts of literary, musical and theatrical life of that timetestify to the direct or indirect influence of Russian cultureon the Romanian one. The most eloquent case is the creativeactivity of representatives of the famous Russian culturalage, called the “Silver Century”, who have influenced the Romanian avant-garde art. However, the Russian literature andart of that period are recognized as the integral part of theEuropean cultural space. In the interwar period, when Romanian culture reached the real flowering phenomenon, itwas opened to dialogue with other national cultures, including the Russian one. Here is an idea of the general spiritualand moral values that have become the basis for commonunderstanding
