Summary/Abstract: Stating that Jews and gentiles alike are called to share in God’s covenant, Paul’s Letter to the Romans is characterized by a perspective of salvation history. The motives of glory and glorifying play a central role in the dynamics of introducing the formerly excluded gentiles into the Love of God in Christ. Paul lines this process out in three stages: frst the common ground of natural law, second the previous working of the mercy of God and third the mutual acceptance of all faithful in the Church.
