Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the current article is to analyze some aspects regarding the superlative of Adjectives in the poems from the volume Locurile noastre sfinte, by Traian Dorz – a book which comprises not only religious, historical or patriotic poems, but also essays dedicated to the national-Christian values of the Romanian spirituality. We had in view some expressive means of rendering the Absolute Superlative (for example, the use of Adverbs formed, by conversion, from Adjectives or from the negative form of Verbs in the Supine Mood, the use of the prefix prea- or of Noun syntagms with the inherent idea of maximum intensity etc.), highlighting their role in setting the lyric frame of Traian Dorz – a contemporary Romanian poet, unfortunately not so well known, who wrote thousands of poems of mystic insight and numerous volumes of memoirs and religious meditation.
