Summary/Abstract: The text refers to reception of literary and cultural texts in the perspective of humanistic self-knowledge category. The author's intention is to show the role of oneself in the reception of literary and cultural texts. It is also important to show that this category can help you understand the meaning of human creativity. Hermeneutic lessons require repetition especially today. Both Ricoeur and Gadamer showed that the reception and the understanding of the text is an important problem for hermeneutics in general. The interpretation of the literary work focuses on the reader. These two scholars pointed out that reading of the texts is existential and deeply symbolic.
