Summary/Abstract: The presentations of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia at the Paris World Exhibitions held in 1925 and 1937 were the paradigms of imperialist model of culture that was taken over from the then French culture of imperialism. That culture is evident in the relationship between the exhibition pavillions designed by architect Stjepan Hribar for the World Exhibition 1925 and by architect Josip Sajsl at the World Exhibition in 1937, when compared to the additional, minor structures that were erected for those exhibitions, i.e. the „Bosnian Kiosk” designed by architect Branislav Kojić and the „Bosnian Hut” designed by architect Đorđe Krekić and sculptor Vojta Braniš. In the context of relations to the main national pavillions, these small structures played a number of significant ideological roles. Their architecture, despite their stylistic and formal drawbacks, may be interpreted as a confirmation of the Yugoslav imperialist order that figured equally strongly in political and economic spheres, as a reflection of the French imperialist influences.
