The Experience of Time in Serbian Realistic Literature

Summary/Abstract: The idea that aesthetics can be based on ontology, on the primary and not just the secondary modeled experience, emerged in the scienti› c circles in the 1920s, as a counterweight to the valid theoretical mainstream (literature as “the other reality”). In this essay on the ontological poetics, which is placed somewhere between hermeneutics and phenomenology, the experience of time as a primary ontological experience was interpreted on the basis of Serbian realistic prose.
