SLOBODAN JOVANOVIĆ: ON THE VALIDITY OF LEGAL NORMS

Summary/Abstract: The author analyses ideas of Mr. Slobodan Jovanovic (1869-1958) on validity of legal rules given in his work the "State" Mr. Jovanovic develops juridical theory on validity of legal rules. The author compares in with force theory and autono¬mous submissiveness theory, pointing out to advantages and disadvanteges of Mr. Jovanoviés ideas. Validity of law is a complex and stratified problem, so the solu¬tion for the same is to be looked for in synthesis od various theories on validity, ta¬king into account that certain embryons of the standpoint can be found in Mr. Jovanoviés ideas as well.
