The Disciples of Jesus and the Family

Summary/Abstract: There are only a few biblical passages which speak about the family of Jesus’ disciples. In our paper, we propose to analyse those passages from the New Testament which give us details about the families of the disciples and about Jesus’ requirements concerning the relation between the disciple and his family. In our analysis we look for an answer concerning the origin and social status of Jesus’ disciples. We also investigate the relation between the disciples and their families after the resurrection.
