Summary/Abstract: The historical view of the Bible is very unique in the history of religions. After creation God gave us his famous “culture command” in the following words: “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing [... ].” (Gen 1,28).This command is also valid today. Unfortunately, as a consequence of sin the meaning of the word “domination” was seriously distorted in history. Mainly in the modern and postmodern ages, the meaning of this biblical word has become to equal exploitation or utilization. However, it is the obligation of every Christian person to guard, sustain and cultivate the created world regardless of sex, colour of skin or religion. On the other hand, this is the foundation and foremost rule of every ethical activity in our Christian life.
