Summary/Abstract: In my article, I undertake the problem of discourse on the presence of new technologies in the life of contemporary youth. I show how the pedagogical reflection, colloquial knowledge and everyday school practices create a common space of narration whose shape takes the form of a modern social myth. I am asking a question about the type of competence necessary to build dialogue education. I am asking for a rational conversation, that is, a conversation that goes beyond the mythologised discourse of the threat, a conversation about the described phenomenon.
