Summary/Abstract: The author aims to focus on the traditional customs in Macedonia regarding wedding and marriage; on the attitude of IMARO towards these institutions; the new marital “rules” imposed by the Organization and engagement norms between the partners; the techniques used by IMARO, and the goals it pursued. In the end, an attempt is made at revealing the effect of the Organization’s activity in this direction, the changes made and the results achieved. The researcher uses a variety of sources, including a large amount of memoirs, as well as program and other documents issued by IMARO.
