Summary/Abstract: To preserve financial and economic stability in the financial crisis of 2008, the European Commission, have been multiple amendments to acts of supranational law, including the ones related to the level of capital adequacy and liquidity regulation of the of financial institutions, as well as to crisis management in financial institutions. The work examines the amendments adopted by the European Commission after the crisis of 2008 to manage and monitor financial institutions, the appropriate conclusions have been made.
