Summary/Abstract: The paper considers Palestinian poetry of resistance as a decolonizing discourse that clearly re-presents the subaltern’s experience. The subject of poetry is most often represented as a subaltern who has no right to vote, but who materializes the forbidden image of Palestine through poetry. Most of the poems of Mahmoud Darwish are deep testimonies of the Palestinian homo sacer in the lost in the realm of Israeli thanatopolitics. The paper analyses the twofold existential subordination of the Palestinian people through the songs in which Darwish shows Palestinian oppression and mythologization of its tragedy in the context of the Arab world. Palestine poetry of resistance represents its subaltern as a complex and multivalent, not a monolithic entity.
