Summary/Abstract: The article presents the emergence and development of the modern Czech Biblical translation. From the beginning of the 20th century to the present day 10 completely new Czechtranslations of the Old Testament, 16 translations of the New Testament and a whole seriesof translations of single Biblical books came into being and were published.
