Summary/Abstract: In this paper we will present aspects regarding targeting proceedings in contemporary armed conflicts, showing the personnel involved in the targeting process and the steps that need to be followed so that it complies with national and international norms. We will also address a subject that produces some disagreements at the theoretical, doctrinal and practical level, namely whether the process of targeted killings is a legal process in targeting, or if it is only a form in which an act is perfidy in disguise
