Summary/Abstract: The fall of a regime, especially of an oppressive one, creates the necessary space for the free manifestation of different artistic inclinations. The historical moment of the fall is followed by the formation of artistic groups sensing the need of self-expression, the most readily at hand genre being the manifesto. After the 1989 fall of the dictatorship this also happened in the case of Hungarian literary groups from Romania - the Transmedians from Cluj Napoca and the Éneklő borz [The Singing Badger] from Târgu-Mureș.
