Summary/Abstract: The paper lists the research scientist (botanists, geologists, geographers) exploring the High Tatras´ natural wealth in the period from the 16th century to the 20th century. It also offers a register of their works examining the mountain range and also appraises the significance of their papers. Each of the listed researchers personally took part in the mapping of the High Tatras´ natural history.
