The Rhetorics of Prophet Jeremiah’s Discourse against Transjordan Regions

Summary/Abstract: Most of the important aspects of international relations in the old Near East are mentioned in prophetic writings either as elements in the relationship between Judea-Israel and the other peoples, or as aspects of relations between non-Judaic states. We aim at analysing the discourse of prophet Jeremiah against Transjordan peoples (Edom, Moab, Ammon), focusing on the literary forms and motifs shared by other prophecies against Judea.
