Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with Andrić`s essays about P. P. Njegoš: Njegoš kao tragični junak kosovske misli, Njegoš u Italiji, Ljuba Nenadović o Njegošu u Italiji, Njegoševa čovečnost, Svetlost Njegoševa dela, Nešto o Njegošu kao piscu, Večna prisutnost Njegoševa, Njegošev odnos prema kulturi i Nad Njegoševom prepiskom. They contain a lot of information about the history, but also have symbolic meanings. These essays could be analized as (re)construction of the drama of Njegoš`s life. The main character of these essays (P. P. Njegoš) was presented as a historical figure, but also as a strong character who had dramatic life.
