Summary/Abstract: The paper is an attempt, based on a psychoanalytic model, to reconstruct the subjective position of the contemporary left-wind discourse. During the reconstruction, the author starts with the interpretation of Julian Tuwim's poem Do prostego człowieka (To a Simple Man) and a study of a single political statement, to suggest the possibility of understanding the leftist subjectivity as what is established in communication based on the teaching relationship. Then he uses such an understanding of left-wing to argue with Maciej Gdula's New Authoritarianism, in particular the “leftist «yes!»” concept put forward by the sociologist.
